LipoLite T: Body Sculpting with Laser-Assisted Lipolysis

LipoLite T body sculpting with laser-assisted lipolysis is a fat removal procedure that helps an individual achieve results with less downtime, discomfort, and reduced risk of harmful side effects. While liposuction ("lipoplasty" or "liposculpture") is an effective surgical procedure that can remove a large amount of stubborn fat deposits resistant to diet and exercise on specific regions of the body, LipoLite offers fat removal in smaller areas of the body.

LipoLite treats the following:

  • Areas on the face and neck
  • Stubborn fat deposits around the belly and back
  • Thighs and hips (resulting in better shape and contour)
  • Enlarged male breasts (to treat "gynecomastia")
  • Areas previously treated by traditional liposuction

A good candidate for this procedure is someone who is in good physical health, within his/her ideal body weight, and realistic in his/her expectations and goals.

How does the LipoLite procedure work?

When performing LipoLite, the surgeon will use a tiny hollow tube called a cannula, which is inserted through a small incision into the treated region. The cannula is then used to direct a powerful laser beam through an optical fiber, liquefying unwanted fat deposits. Once the fat is liquefied, it is removed through the same small incision with a narrow suction cannula.

The procedure takes about 30 minutes to an hour, depending on the target area. Because LipoLite is less traumatic than traditional liposuction, a local anesthetic will be used during treatment to alleviate any pain.

Side Effects

After the LipoLite procedure, the patient may experience minimal bruising, minor aches, and other pains that can be alleviated fairly quickly.

Results:

Visible improvement is typically noticeable within six to eight weeks after treatment; however, some results can be seen almost immediately. The patient should be able to return to normal activities within one to two days after the procedure.
