A native New Yorker, Dr. Minniti did his extensive medical training on the east coast in New York, Providence, and Boston, and was trained in general and plastic surgery. Dr. Minniti came west and is now one of Beverly Hills’ premier aesthetic plastic surgeons. He has over 10 years of experience in cosmetic plastic surgery, is an innovator of many surgical procedures for which he lectures to other surgeons, and has published in the leading plastic surgery journals.
Dr. Minniti specializes in primary and revision surgery of the breast and nose, and body contouring procedures including procedures for massive weight loss patients. Breast surgery procedures include breast augmentation, breast reduction, breast lifts, and the combination of breast augmentation and breast lift. Dr. Minniti is renowned for the ‘no scar’ technique of breast augmentation leaving a small incision in the crease of the armpit, and the ‘24 hour recovery’ for all breast surgery patients. Body contouring procedures include abdominoplasty, body lifts, arm and thigh lifts, and liposuction.
Dr. Minniti’s area of interest is in both revision nose surgery and revision breast surgery involving complex problems with breast implants. In the realm of breast surgery, he has extensive experience utilizing dermal matrix grafts like Alloderm and Strattice for correction of malposition and rippling of implants. Dr. Minniti has found that utilizing dermal matrix grafts imparts support and improvement to tissue qualities including thickness that cannot be duplicated with other methods. In the realm of nose surgery, he uses cartilage taken from many areas of the body to reconstruct a natural and beautiful nose.
Dr. Minniti is a diplomat of the American Board of Plastic Surgery and a member of the Los Angeles Society of Plastic Surgeons, the American Society of Plastic Surgeons, and the American Society for Aesthetic Plastic Surgery. He is also a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons.
Located just outside the busy ‘Golden Triangle’ of Beverly Hills on the quiet, tree-lined Spalding Drive, Dr. Minniti’s office is discrete and comfortable and his staff warm and accommodating. INSPIRATION
One of Dr. Minniti’s inspirations for becoming a surgeon was the fictional character "Hawkeye" played by Alan Alda on the hit television show *MASH*. Beneath his lighthearted affable exterior was a most compassionate and competent doctor devoted to his work.
This way of making his patients feel comfortable and confident in their time of need is something Dr. Minniti strives for on both a professional and personal level.
EDUCATION
Prior to medical school, Dr. Minniti conducted research at Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center in New York. There he was exposed to plastic surgeons rebuilding the bodies of people who had undergone the sometimes mutilating surgeries to cure them. Dr. Minniti graduated at the top of his class from New York Medical College with multiple honors, including his induction into the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society. After completing his internship at USC in General Surgery, Dr. Minniti finished his General Surgery residency training at Brown University in Providence, Rhode Island. Dr. Minniti subsequently completed his Plastic Surgery residency there as well, and completed an aesthetic surgery fellowship with Baker, Stuzin, and Baker in Miami. Dr. Minniti came back to Brown University in his final year as an Instructor in Surgery (Plastic).
