Dr. Minniti specializes in primary and revision surgery of the face, breast, and nose, as well as body contouring procedures including procedures for massive weight loss patients. Dr. Minniti is renowned for the “24-hour recovery” for all breast augmentation patients. He has extensive experience in complex revision surgeries of the breast involving implant complications as well as soft tissue issues. Dr. Minniti is an expert in fat grafting to the face, buttock, and breast, as well as for revision of liposuction deformities. Body contouring procedures include abdominoplasty, body lifts, arm and thigh lifts, and liposuction.
Dr. Minniti is a diplomat of the American Board of Plastic Surgery and a member of the Los Angeles Society of Plastic Surgeons, the American Society of Plastic Surgeons, and the American Society for Aesthetic Plastic Surgery. He is also a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons.
Dr. Minniti’s office is discrete and comfortable, and his staff warm and accommodating. Special care and extra time are taken for each patient so that a relationship based in confidence and trust can be built.
Inspiration
One of Dr. Minniti’s inspirations for becoming a surgeon was the fictional character “Hawkeye Pierce” played by Alan Alda on the hit television show *MASH* in the 1970s. Beneath his lighthearted, affable exterior was a compassionate and competent doctor devoted to his work. His way of making patients feel comfortable and confident in their time of need is something Dr. Minniti strives for on both a professional and personal level.
Education
Prior to medical school, Dr. Minniti conducted research at Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center in New York. There, he was exposed to plastic surgeons rebuilding the bodies of people who had undergone mutilating surgeries to cure them. Dr. Minniti graduated at the top of his class from New York Medical College with multiple honors, including his induction into the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society.
After completing his internship at USC in General Surgery, Dr. Minniti finished his General Surgery residency training at Brown University in Providence, Rhode Island. Dr. Minniti subsequently completed his Plastic Surgery residency there, as well, and completed an aesthetic surgery fellowship with Baker, Stuzin, and Baker in Miami. Dr. Minniti returned to Brown University in his final year as an Instructor in Plastic Surgery.
